Password Requirements

A computer password is defined as the password you use to log into your computer that gives you access to applications and services such as Microsoft Outlook.

You are supposed to change your computer password to a minimum of eight (8) characters and change your computer password every 90 days. It will be good for you to comply with the complexity criteria as follows:

Passwords must meet the following complexity requirements:

• Passwords shall not contain all or part of your user's account name
• Passwords shall contain characters from three of the following four categories:
  1. uppercase characters (A-Z)
  2. lowercase characters (a-z)
  3. base ten digits (0-9)
  4. non-alphabetic characters (for example, !,$,#,%)
• Passwords may not be reused or substantially similar to any password used within the previous 10 passwords.
